Disposal of public grievances being fast paced: ADVISOR Baseer Khan

SRINAGAR: As part of the weekly public hearing programme, several delegations and individuals met Advisor to Lieutenant Governor, Baseer Ahmad Khan Tuesday at Grievance Cell, Church Lane, Sonwar Srinagar and apprised him about their issues, grievances and sought his intervention in redressal of the same.
About 100 delegations and individuals from across the Jammu and Kashmir region met the Advisor who projected the problems regarding civic amenities, education, road connectivity, development etc.
The Advisor said that the government has fast paced the disposal of grievances being projected by the people to ensure good governance and accountability, along with speedy implementation of welfare programmes and schemes.
A delegation of Kashmir Dry Fruit and Herbs Association demanded establishment of dry fruit mandi in Srinagar.
A delegation of Auqaf Committee Baramulla demanded intervention of the Advisor for resuming the work on the lift irrigation scheme in their locality.
Similarly a delegation of Rawatpora, Baghat e Barzulla complained of the lack of drainage system in their area and said that water gets accumulated in their area during downpour.
Likewise a delegation from different villages of Uri demanded upgradation of basic facilities in their respective areas. A delegation from Kamalkote demanded ATM, better medical facilities, college in their locality. Another delegation from Boniyar Uri demanded road connectivity, communication tower and other basic needs. The delegations from Uri also asked the Advisor to visit their areas to get a first hand appraisal of their issues and demands.
Another delegation from Azmatabad village of Rajouri demanded better drinking water and other facilities.
Several delegations of Sarpanchs and Panchs from various districts also met the Advisor and raised several developmental related issues of their respective areas.
Other delegations from Baramulla, Budgam, Anantnag, Ganderbal, Kakapora, Lolab, also met the Advisor and registered their grievances.
Responding to the delegations and individuals, the Advisor assured that all genuine grievances, demands raised at the public hearing would be looked into and necessary action would be taken by the concerned departments.
On some projected cases, the Advisor issued on-the-spot directions to the concerned departments for time-bound solution of the same while on other cases asked the officers to furnish a report before the Grievance Cell in a time bound manner.
