B2V3 programme concludes at Sonamarg

Took cognizance of the issues raised during the public interactions - Hashmat Ali

Ganderbal: A Back to village 3 programme was attended by Hashmat Ali Khan, Director Hospitality and Protocol at Panchayat Halqa Sonamarg A of Gund Block of Ganderbal district on Wednesday.
The officer during his visit patiently listened to the issues and demands raised by the inhabitants of Panchyat including PRI’s.
At special gram sabhas, the visiting officers profiled the public issues and demands and assured the people of redress of all the genuine grievances in a time bound manner with intervention of the concerned departments.
They also issued on spot directions to the concerned field functionaries to take cognizance of the issues pertaining to their sectors which were raised during the public interactions
Main problems raised by the people were regarding employment in Z-morh and Zojilla Tunnel projects, compensation to the households affected by blasting of Z-morh tunnel at Shutkadi village, Subsidy on Paying Guest house, upgradation of Primary School Shutkadi to Middle school, playground at Sonamarg etc. Some of the issues were redressed on the spot while rest of the grievances and issues raised shall be conveyed to the concerned authorities for redressal.
The visiting officer also inspected and inaugurated a number of developmental works and also laid the foundation of new works in Panchayat Halqa Sonamarg. The officer also inspected PHC Sonamarg, schools, Anganwadi centres and other institutions to take stock of the facilities being provided in the rural areas besides sports kits were distributed among two teams.
BDC Chairman Block Gund along with officers and officials of other departments were also present on the occasion.
Meanwhile, the 3nd phase of B2V programme witnessed multifarious activities in 42 Panchayat Halqas of the district.
The District Development Commissioner, Shafqat Iqbal, today, visited several Panchayat halqas including Wayil, Wussan-B and Lar-B where he received feedback from the visiting officers about the proceedings of the ambitious program besides listened demands and grievances of the PRIs and locals regarding development and sought his intervention for the early redressal of the same.
During the program, a series of activities were held in these including organizing Mahila Sabhas, field visits, inauguration of works completed under B2V program besides distribution of various certificates, sports kits and Kissan Credit Cards among the beneficiaries.
The DDC was apprised with series of demands during his day long tour ranging from augmentation of power and water supply, better health facilities, repairing of roads and many more.
At Panchayat Halqa Wayil, the DDC was apprised about the encroachment of Upper Wayil Canal, expedition of work on Wayil bridge, Public park and other demands of public importance.
While responding to the demands of the people, the DDC said that the main purpose of this programme is to collect feedback on delivery of government programmes, undertaking assessment of needs of the villages and implementation of individual beneficiary oriented schemes at grassroot level.
Highlighting the objective of B2V3, the DDC said that Government aims at strengthening and empowering PRIs through participatory governance which act as the buildings blocks of development of the Panchayats.
The DDC inaugurated an Aadhar Enrolment Centre for students in the age group of 5-18 years of Ganderbal district at Government Boys Higher Secondary School, Ganderbal. To ensure cent percent enrollment of the students of the district, the such centres have been established at 15 locations of the district.
Later, the DDC witnessed the Volley Ball match played at Wayil ground as a part of B2V3 program where he felicitated the winning team and distributes sports kits among the players.
While interacting with the players, the DDC said that series of tournaments are being organized under the B2V3 throughout the district with an aim to attract the young generation towards sports for grooming their sports skills.
Meanwhile, DDC also distributed Kissan Credit Cards, baby Kits and Pension Cards among the beneficiaries.
