Forces launch search operation in Sopore village

Sopore, Oct 05: Government forces on Monday morning launched a cordon and search operation in Bulgam area of Sopore in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
Police sources said that a joint team of Army’s 52 RR, SOG of Police and CRPF jointly launched a search operation in the area and all the entry and exit points towards the village were sealed off.
Local reports said that house to house searches were being conducted in the area.
Meanwhile, SSP Sopore Javid Iqbal also confirmed the CASO and said that following inputs about the presence of militants in the area a search operation was launched.
The search operation in the area was going on when this report was filed, further details are awaited.
