76 Panchayat Halqas covered under Phase I

BUDGAM: Financial Commissioner Finance, Dr. Arun Kumar Mehta, Friday launched third phase of government’s unique initiative ‘Back to Village’ programme at Kenihama, Budgam.
Financial Commissioner was accompanied by Deputy Commissioner Budgam, Shahbaz Ahmed Mirza, Sub Divisional Magistrate, Chadoora and Assistance Commissioner Development, Budgam besides other concerned officers.
Speaking on the occasion, Financial Commissioner said that the Government has launched this programme in order to reach out to the common masses at their door steps with all welfare and development schems. He said all designated authorities have been directed to ensure that special focus shall be envisaged to inspire young educated youth to take advantage of various MSME schemes.
We are committed to provide all logistic support to any aspiring youth entrepreneur to establish his employment generating unit he said adding that in this connection J&K Bank has also been asked to provide all necessary financial assistance to the loan seekers in a hassle free manner.
Financial Commissioner further added that in order to give a boost to sports activities the Government has provided Rs 10 Lakh special grant to each panchayat that can be utilized in improving required infrastructure including development of play fields and related facilities.
Earlier, DC accompanied by all concerned visited several panchayat halqas of various blocks including Mamat, Sebdan, Galwanpora and Dahermuna and monitored the activities there being done under B2V3.
The DDC informed that Budgam district has 296 panchayat halqas and 17 CD Blocks as per the schedule programme and 75 panchayat halqas will be covered under each phase till culmination of the programme.
