KEG grieved over young reporter’s demise

Srinagar, Oct 1: Kashmir Editors Guild (KEG) expressed shock over the sudden demise of a young reporter Javed Ahmad who was associated with daily ‘Rising Kashmir’.

The incident is not only tragic and shocking for the family of the young journalist but the entire media fraternity in Kashmir is pained at his sudden demise, KEG said in a statement.  

KEG expresses solidarity with the family members of the young journalist and share their pain and agony equally.

According to reports Javed suffered a massive heart attack near Hyderbeigh Pattan while travelling to Srinagar from Baramulla in the morning. Though he was shifted to a nearby trauma hospital but he was declared as brought dead.

Javed Ahmad hails from Watergam area of Rafiabad and had recently got married as well.

Meanwhile, Kashmir Press Club (KPC) also expressed sorrow over the demise.

The Kashmir Press Club (KPC) expresses shock over the sudden and tragic death of its member and senior Correspondent of ‘Rising Kashmir’ Javaid Ahmad, a statement issued by KPC said.

The tragic death has left the whole fraternity pained. The management committee as well as club members remembered him as a thorough professional and an extremely humble person, the statement added.
