Police files charge-sheet against 4 LeT militants, 3 associates
Handwara: The Jammu and Kashmir police Tuesday filed a charge-sheet against four Lashkar militants and three associates for hatching and harbouring conspiracy.
A police spokesman said that a charge-sheet was filed against four LeT militants and three associates arrested back in the month of April in the ensuing year.
The spokesman said that police today submitted the Charge sheet in respect of case FIR No 104/2020 registered at Police Station Handwara.
The FIR pertains to the incident dated 03 April 2020 when police along with 21 RR, 92 CRPF arrested 04 militants 03 associates of LeT outfit, the spokesman said.
He said after conclusion of investigation the chargesheet has been filed before the Competent Court by Handwara Police U/s 13,18,20,23,38 UA(P) Act, 7/25 Indian Arms Act,and substantive offences thereof subsequent to obtaining necessary Government sanction for prosecution under UA(P)Act.
The Chargesheet has been filed against four militants identified as, Parvaiz Ahmad Chopan S/o Ab Rashid Chopan R/o Shartpora Langate, Mudasir Ahmad Pandith S/o Ab Rehman Pandith R/o Zargar mohalla Langate, Mohd Shafi Shiekh S/o Mohd Ahsan Shiekh R/o Langate and Burhan Din Wani@ Burhan S/o Mushtaq Ahmad Wani R/o Tulwari Langate.
While the three associates were identified as, Azad Ahmad Bhat S/o Ab Razaq Bhat R/o Shalpora Langate, Altaf Ahmad Baba S/o Salam Din Baba R/o Babagund Seelo Rafiabad and Irshad Ahmad Chalkoo S/o Said-ud-din Chalkoo R/o Silikoot Uri.
The associates, spokesman said were charged for hatching Criminal Conspiracy for the Terrorist act, Harbouring terrorists and giving Support to the militant organization.
