BJYM organises blood donation camp at Anantnag

Srinagar: The youth wing of BJP’s Kashmir Unit Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) Wednesday organised a blood donation camp at Sub District Hospital Khanabal Anantnag under week-long program Seva Saptah’.
Around dozens of BJYM volunteers donated their blood in the day-long camp. They said donating blood was important to save precious lives at the eventualities.
On the occasion, Party’s vice president and ex MLA Sofi Yousuf said “As part of 70th birthday celebrations of our beloved leader and PM Narendra Modi, BJP is organizing the birthday celebrations as ‘Seva Saptah’ throughout the country which is Deendayal Upadhyaya Jayanti, week-long celebrations, feeding the poor and also providing groceries and clothes to needy people.”
While on the occasion UT Spokesperson Altaf Thakur while appreciating BJYM volunteers for donating their blood said that such activities inculcate the spirit of social activism among the people.
“We should always be ready for such occasions,” he said.
BJP Kashmir Media In-charge and senior leader Manzoor Bhat said such camps are need of the hour and now every year they will be conducting such events in the valley.
“These events give us a feeling of unity and encourage us to serve for the society,” he said.
