18-year-old boy goes missing in Gurez

Bandipora: An 18-year-old boy from Bagtore along the Line of Control in Gurez area of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district went missing from his home two days ago.
Residents told that the 18-year-old boy identified as Mohamad Sayeed Lone son of Ghulam Mohi-u-din Lone, a resident of Tarbal village of Bagtore went missing on 14 September after he left from his home for some work.
They said that Sayeed, a 12th class student left his home for some work but didn’t return till late evening. “The family later contacted all the relatives and friends but couldn’t trace him anywhere,” the locals said.
A senior police officer said that the family has registered a missing report yesterday and a complaint has been lodged at the concerned police station.
“We are also receiving reports that the missing youth has crossed over to the other side of the Line of Control by mistake as the village is very near to the LoC,” he said.
He said that they are further investigating the matter and efforts are on to trace him. (KNO)
