Militants, forces exchange fire in Pulwama village
Srinagar, September 13: A brief exchange of firing took place between militants and security forces in Parigam area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama on Sunday.
A senior police officer said that a brief exchange of firing took place between forces and militants in orchards of Parigam, however the searches are still underway in the area.
Earlier, according to the reports, a joint team of Police, Army’s 50 RR and CRPF launched a cordon-and-search-operation in Parigam.
As the joint team encircled the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon them. The fire was retaliated by the joint team, triggering off the exchange of fire. (GNS)
