Far off Sopore villages get connected to the cellular world

Sopore: Residents of Rampora and Rajpora, a forest area of Zaingeer belt of Sopore in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Saturday expressed joy as they got access to mobile network connectivity for the first time.
The twin remote villages in Sopore area were denied mobile connectivity, officials said here.
An official said that cellular connectivity has been provided for the first time here.
He said that a mobile tower by Reliance Jio was installed and it was made functional on Friday to give mobile and internet connectivity to the twin villages,
The twin villages are famous for their scenic beauty, however, the area lacked mobile phone connectivity for decades.
Meanwhile, locals thanked the local administration for providing them with mobile phone connectivity which they have been lacking for decades now.
Residents of this area told that they have been demanding phone connectivity for years, “We are really happy that we have now mobile phone connectivity in our village,” residents said.
Rampora Rajpora has lush green forests surrounded by mountains.
