South Kashmir youth goes missing, family seeks help in tracing him

Anantnag: A youth from Srigufwara Tehsil in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district has gone missing three days back and the family has failed to trace him since then, reports said.
Shakeel Ahmad Bhat son of Ghulam Mohammad Bhat resident of Chenigund Kanelwan Srigufwara Anantnag is missing since Tuesday evening and his family has sought help from police and public in tracing him.
Ghulam Mohammad Bhat, his father said that Shakeel was suffering from some ailments and he had gone to Anantnag for seeking an appointment with a doctor to get himself treated.
However, he did not return back, he added.
“We tried his phone and he answered one call asking us not to worry as he is returning back to home. However, his phone was switched off after sometime and since then we have no details about him,” he said.
“Next day we contacted all our relatives and his friends but couldn’t get his whereabouts. It was on Thursday morning that we lodged his missing report at police station Srigufwara,” added his concerned father.
His family members requested police and public to help them in tracing him as he is suffering from some ailments.
Meanwhile, a police officer also confirmed that Shakeel is missing from the last few days and efforts are on to trace him.
