Man drowns while fishing in Rajouri river

Jammu: A 45-year-old man drowned after he slipped while fishing in Manawar Tawi, a tributary of the Chenab River, which originates at the Ratan Pir ridge and flows through the Rajouri district.
Witnesses said that the body of the man, Rashpal Singh (45) son of Pritam Dass of Narian, was recovered from the river in the area falling within the jurisdiction of Narian Police Post in Rajouri.
They said that the man slipped and he fell inside water body. Later his body was retrieved, they added.
Meanwhile, police reached the spot and started further investigations, they added. (GNS)
