JK Bank Kangan Branch closed for three days after eight employees tested positive for COVID-19

Ganderbal, Sep 10: Authorities on Thursday ordered closure of Jammu and Kashmir Bank Branch Kangan for three days after eight employees working in the branch tested positive for COVID-19.

Reports said that the employees after undergoing Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) at SDH Kangan tested positive for Coronavirus following which they were home Quarantined and the branch was closed.

Official sources said that people do not adhere to set SOP’s including wearing face mask and social distancing due to which the virus is spreading very fast.

Pertinently, Health Department Ganderbal is conducting camps in various areas of the district so that covid tests are done at the doorsteps.

Meanwhile, Chief Medical Officer Ganderbal , Dr Mehraj u Din has once again appealed to general public including service providers to go for COVID-19 test and follow SOP’s so that the virus does not spread further.
