Pattan encounter: Three militants killed, Army Major, 02 cops injured
Srinagar, September 04: Three militants were killed, and an army major and two policemen were injured in an encounter in Yadipora area of Pattan in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
Official sources said that three militant were killed in an encounter, however their identification couldn’t be ascertained yet.
Official sources further said that an army major and two policemen were also injured during exchange of fire.
Earlier, according to the reports a joint team of Police, Army’s RR 29 and CRPF launched a cordon-and-search-operation in Yadipora.
As the joint team encircled the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon them. The fire was retaliated by the joint team, triggering off an encounter.(GNS)
