MGNREGA employees stage protest in Baramulla, seek regularization
Sopore: Scores of MGNREGA employees of Block Wagoora in Baramulla district on Monday staged a protest at Wagoora demanding regularization of services.
The protesting employees said that they have been working in the department for last 13 years but still no regularisation policy has yet to been framed for them.
“We have been running all the central sponsored schemes of RDD including MGNREGA, SBM, SBMLOB, 14th FCA, MPLADs, CDS, Mission Antyodya, BLOs, election duties, Covid 19 duties, Liaison officers in Back to Village Programmes and all other schemes. But we have been ignored by the authorities as our regularization of services have not been even initiated,” they said
They said that some senior officials have forwarded our details to the secretariat and now a consent is needed to amend the recruitment rules like SRO 178 of 2007 of our department, they added.
The protestors demanded that the Lt Guv should get their demands redressed at an earliest.
