Two killed, four injured in road mishaps

Srinagar: Two people including a cop were killed while four persons sustained injuries in different road accidents in Kashmir Valley.
A middle aged man was killed in Lalad area of North Kashmir’s Sopore town when a speeding vehicle JK15A-3006 hit him. An official said that the victim Abdul Ganaie was from Lalad Sopore.
He said a case in this regard has been registered at police station Tarzoo.
A cop sustained injuries after his motor-cycle (6502/05D) collided with a vehicle (JK01P-1320) in Chogul area of Handwara town. The cop identified as Tahir Ahmad Bhat of Lachampora Rajwar was shifted to hospital wherefrom he was referred to SMHS hospital Srinagar for advanced treatment. However, te cop succumbed to his injuries later.
Meanwhile, three ladies and a man were injured after a Tata-Mobile vehicle bearing registration number (JK02AB-8576) collided with a Sumo vehicle bearing registration number (JK02A-4379) near Manigam Crossing in Ashmuqam Anantnag.
Four persons on board the Sumo vehicle were injured and shifted to Sub District Hospital Seer Anantnag. The injured were identified as Shakeela Akther wife of Zahoor Ahmad, Zarrier Zahoor son of Zahoora Ahmad of Sepan Khanabal, Ghulam Hassan son of Abdul Aziz of Chandrigam and Ulfat Jan daughter of Nishat Jan Shah Salia Ganie Gund.
