BSF Trooper in Kupwara ends life
Kupwara, Aug 21: A Border Security Force (BSF) trooper committed suicide by shooting himself dead at his place of posting in north Kashmir’s Kupwara area.
Official sources said that the trooper posted at Brinwari Kupwara shot himself with his service rifle. He died on the spot.
The trooper was identified as head constable Kundan Ram belonging to the 169 battalion, the official added.
A police official said that it was not immediately known as to why the trooper took the extreme step. He said investigations are underway in this regard. (GNS)
