Kreeri encounter resumes after night long lull
Srinagar, August 18: After suspending operation due to darkness yesterday, firing resumes on Tuesday morning at encounter site in Kreeri area of North Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
A senior Police officer said that with the first ray of light this morning, the forces resumed the operation.
Heavy exchange of firing is going on right now, the officer said.
Pertinently, yesterday 06 people were killed including 02 CRPF troopers, 01 JK cop, 01 Army soldier and two local LeT militants.
Director General of police Dilbagh Singh yesterday during a press conference said that Top LeT Commander Sajad Haider from Sopore was among the two slain militants..(GNS)
