Congress Panch resigns in Sopore

Sopore, August 18: A Congress Panch in north Kashmir’s Sopore area on Tuesday announced his resignation.

The Panch identified as Manzoor Ahmad Ganaie son of Ghulam Rasool from Muqam Shaheed Mir village of Zaingeer in north Kashmir’s Sopore town resigned citing personal reasons.

Talking to media Manzoor Ahmad Ganaie said that he has resigned as a Panch.

“I belong to a very poor family and was living under fear since the last two years. That is reason that I have decided to quit,” said Ganaie.

He said that he will submit his resignation to the BDO concerned as well.

Notably, Manzoor was the second Panch from Congress party in Zaingeer belt who resigned.

Earlier a Panch identified as Muhammad Ramzan Lone from Malmapanpora village of Zaingeer had resigned on 7th of August 2020.
