Truck catches fire at Jawhar Tunnel, traffic suspended on NH1
Qazigund: The vehicular movement along Jammu-Srinagar highway was temporarily suspended on Saturday after a truck caught fire at Jawahar Tunnel in Qazigund area of South Kashmir’s Kulgam district.
Officials said that a truck bearing registration number (JK13B-2215) was parked on the roadside at Jawahar Tunnel when it suddenly caught fire and flames engulfed the entire vehicle.
The vehicular movement along the highway was temporarily suspended after the incident took place, they said.
The truck driver identified as Ajaz Ahmad Lone escaped unhurt and the situation is completely under control, the officials said. (KNO)
