COVID-19: Recovery rate improving in JK

Srinagar: The tally of recovered Covid-19 patients in Jammu and Kashmir has crossed 20,000-mark with the recovery of 734 patients on Saturday.
As per the figures a total of 20,676 patients who had tested positive for COVID-19 have recovered and discharged from the hospitals across Jammu and Kashmir so far.
According to the data, a total of 16031 patients from Kashmir and 4645 patients from Jammu division have so far recovered from the deadly Coronavirus and have been discharged from various hospitals.
In Srinagar, the data revealed that 368 patients have recovered on Saturday and have been discharged from the hospitals or COVID care centres, thus taking the total toll of recovered patients in the district to 5001 so far.
As per the figures, 1734 patients have recovered from north Kashmir’s Baramulla district while 1516 patients have recovered from South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
It added that 1210 patients from central Kashmir’s Budgam district and 1364 patients from south Kashmir’s Anantnag district have recovered so far from COVID-19.
1461 from Kulgam, 1448 from Shopian, 1108 from Kupwara, 731 from Bandipora and 458 from Ganderbal recoveries from COVID-19 have reported till Saturday evening.
Similarly, out of 4645 recovered patients, 1128 belong to Jammu, the summer capital of the Union Territory.
The data revealed 651 patients have recovered from Rajouri district while 540 patients have recovered from Udhampur district so far.
In Ramban district, a total of 589 patients have recovered from COVID-19 and 389 patients have recovered from Samba district of Jammu division.
It added that 292 patients have recovered from Doda district while 229 patients have recovered from Poonch district. A total of 121 patients of Reasi district have recovered from COVID-19 so far and 158 patients have recovered from Kishtwar district.
The data also revealed that out of total 28021 COVID cases so far, only 6818 are active positive while 527 patients have died so far in Jammu and Kashmir.
In Kashmir, a total of 21744 cases have been reported so far while 5227 among them are active positive at present. In Jammu, a total of 6277 cases have been reported till Saturday evening and 1591 are currently active positive. (KNO)
