Cotton factory gutted in fire incident
Ganderbal: A cotton factory was completely gutted in a massive fire incident in Chanthan Gulabpura area of Lar in Ganderbal district on Monday, reports said.
They said that a cotton factory belonging to Ishfaq Ahmad Qureshi son of Zaman Qureshi, a resident of Lar Ganderbal, caught fire on Monday afternoon completely damaging the factory.
Later fire tender rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control with the help of police and locals.
Locals said that the factory building suffered massive damage, however there was no report of any loss of life.
Meanwhile, a police official said the cause of fire is believed to be due to short circuit.
Police has taken cognizance of the incident, he added.
