Body of missing youth recovered from Nallah Sindh

Ganderbal: Police on Tuesday morning recovered a male body from Nallah Sindh at Sumbal in Ganderbal.
Reports said that some passerby after spotting a dead body floating in nallah Sindh, immediately informed the police.
They further said that soon after getting the information, a police team from Police Station Gund reached the spot and with the help of locals fished out the body from the Nallah Sindh.
A Police official while confirming the incident identified the deceased as 25 year old Akbar Ali Balti son of Qasim Balti, a resident of Balti Kullan who was missing since July 22.
The family had already lodged a missing report in this regard.
“The body was decomposed and it was not immediately possible to identify him however later the family of the deceased youth with the help of some natural scar on his body identified him,” the official added.
After medico-legal formalities the body was handed over to his family.
Meanwhile, police has started inquest proceedings in this regard.
