Lone son of south Kashmir family goes missing

Awantipora: A youth from Chersoo village of Awantipora belt in south Kashmir’s Pulwama has gone missing and his family is seeking his return.
Shoaib Mohammed Bhat (19) son of Mohammad Shafi Bhat of Chersoo Awantipora according to his family has gone missing since 12 July and despite efforts by the family his whereabouts remain unknown.
The family said that he went for some work but he didn’t return back in the evening.
“Following his disappearance we searched for him everywhere but could not trace him. Later in the day we filed his missing report at police station Awantipora,” said a family member.
Failing to locate the missing youth, the family has appealed all militant organizations to let him return him back as he is the lone son of the family.
They also appealed police and public to help them in tracing him.
“Shoiab completed his 12th class examination last year and was at present pursuing medical assistant training at a private medical Institute in Pulwama,” said one of his friends.
He said that he is a lone son of Bhat family as the family has jut two siblings including his younger sister.
“He belongs to a very poor family as his father is a labourer by profession and has no other sources of income,” he said, adding that he was arrested once before and was in police custody for about one month.
A senior police official confirmed that his missing report was filled on 15 July at police station Awantipora.
He said that efforts are on trace him so that he can be brought back and later returned to his parents.
