Students at GDC Anantnag demand conduct of exams
Anantnag: The students pursuing various Bachelor level courses in the 2019 batch at Government degree college boys Anantnag have alleged that authorities are delaying their exams unnecessarily.
The students said that they got admission in various courses in 2019 however, since then examination of just one semester was conducted and authorities are yet to conduct our 2nd semester examinations.
They said that other colleges have already conducted online external examinations for 2nd semester, however, due to unknown reasons GDC Anantnag authorities aren’t conducting the examinations.
“The students who got admission in cluster University during the same session have already completed internal examinations of 3rd semester and we have been left behind due to unknown reasons,” said Muzamil Ahmad, a student of GDC (boys) Anantnag.
“Around two years have passed and authorities are yet to declare results of 1st semester and have not been able to conduct 2nd semester examination,” he said, adding that if things continue at this pace they will not complete their bachelors even in five tears.
The students appealed the authorities to look into their grievance at an earliest and save their precious time by holding all pending exams.
On contacting Controller Examination, University of Kashmir Prof Farooq Ahmad, he said that it is upto the Principal of the concerned college as to how and when to conduct the exams.
“GDC Anantnag is very big college where thousands of students are enrolled and to conduct their examination is not an easy job,” he said.
“At present examination of other semester students are being conducted and in coming day’s examination of all pending semester will be conducted,” he assured.
