Family of six drowns in Kishtwar

Srinagar: Six family members on board a private vehicle drowned in Budh nalla near Garh area of frontier Kishtawar district in Jammu division.
Reports said that an Alto vehicle on way from Garh towards Massu te Paddar skidded-off the road and rolled down into Budh nallah.
The incident left the driver Mulk Raj, son of Ram Nath, a head-constable in Armed Police under belt number ARP 872650 hailing from Garh Padder dead while as the five others travelling in the vehicle too are believed to have drowned.
The other persons boarding the vehicle have been identified as; Muni Devi daughter of Mulkh Raj, Kailasha Devi daughter Mulkh Raj, Anamika Devi (16) daughter of Chuni Lal, Sushalni alias Shallu (13) daughter of Narinder Kumar and Sonakshi alias Kaki (11) daughter of Narinder Kumar, the reports said.
Meanwhile, confirming the incident SDPO Kishtawar Pardeep Sen said that a rescue team alongside a crane has been sent to the spot.
“The rescue operation has been initiated and details are being provided,” he said. (GNS)
