Troopers hit youth with stick at Sopore, admitted in hospital

Sopore: A-22-year old youth was critically injured after a road opening party of BSF hit him with a stick on his head in Ladoora area of Rafiabad in north Kashmir on Thursday.
Reports said that the youth was working in his orchard when one of the security personnel of the road opening party hit him with a stick on his head. “The incident happened when the ROP was questioning the youth when they passed by the orchard,” the reports added.
They said that the youth was rushed to district hospital Baramulla in a critical condition. The youth has been identified as Mohammad Rafi Ahangar son of Ghulam Rasool of Ladoora Rafiabad.
Senior superintendent of police, Sopore Javid Iqbal confirmed the incident and said that the youth was injured during scuffle with a road opening party of BSF troopers in the area.
He said that the youth is undergoing treatment at DH Baramulla and his condition is stable.
