Sopore resident dies of COVID-19, second death in a day as toll rises to 74

Srinagar, June 19: Kashmir on Friday morning recorded second death due to COVID-19 as a Sopore resident became the fresh victim of the deadly disease.
Medical Superintendent SKIMS Professor Farooq Jan confirmed and said an 80-year-old patient from Badambagh area of Sopore died this morning due to COVID-19. He said this is second death in a day at SKIMS.
Earlier, a 79-year-old man from Nowshara Srinagar died from the disease.
The deceased Sopore man was admitted in SKIMS three days before after he suffered from breathlessness (pulmonary infection).
The overall death toll due to COVID-19 in the union territory of Jammu and Kashmir has risen to 74.
