Overall, we are the part and parcel of this society. Let us live together.

Baazila Farooq

We all are human beings. It is not about a boy or a girl after all we all are human beings. Our Creator created us in the best form. A boy is same as a girl in the eyes of Allah. There are some differences but in most of the things, we are same.

If we look at the world, both boys and girls have achieved the greatest feats of humanity. But in our orthodox society, there are unbearable mindsets. If the same offense is committed by a girl which the boy too has committed, the girls are subjected to both physical and mental tortures. I don’t understand the reason behind this. After a lot of pondering, I have come across many reasons. But I want to discuss some of them.

I think it is due to our ignorance. If we study the creation plan of God, we will never have reacted like this. God’s plan shows that a boy and a girl are the two sides of the same coin. They should know each other. They should solve their differences; rather than flare them up. All the personalities of the world are reared in the wombs of mothers. If this is the case, why should be there glaring differences between a boy and a girl?

The second cause is that a boy is taken as physically strong while a girl is considered as physically weak. This is the biggest illusion of our times. Intellectualism is the weapon that wins the battle.

Robert Lynd is of the opinion that it is better to have intellectualism than the physical strength. Philosophers generally are weak but they dominate everywhere. Hannah Arendt, an American-German philosopher, was generally weak but her works suggest that she was intellectually efficient than the men of that time.

The last cause in my opinion is that a mature girl experiences more biological changes than a boy. Menstruation is one of them. This experience has become a social stigma in our society. Blood gives life. But when the same blood originates from the different path, it becomes something to hate. It is necessary for a mature girl to have regular periods. Irregular periods can harm their bodies. This attitude is to be left as early as possible.

Overall, we are the part and parcel of this society. Let us live together. We need each other. Let us have a creative debate over the above-mentioned things. I am ready. Are you ready?
