Srinagar, June 14: As part of the effort to encourage use of face masks in public, HDFC Bank Ltd, announced it will offer face masks to walk-in customers across branches in Kashmir and Ladakh.

The Bank has a total of 48 branches in Kashmir and Ladakh where it will be offering face masks to walk-in customers. This is in addition to the facilities such as Hand Sanitizer and Thermal Screening already available at the bank branches for all walk-in customers.

The objective is to increase awareness about the benefits of wearing face masks to curb the spread of Covid19. This initiative is part of HDFC Bank #Parivartan, the bank’s umbrella brand for all its social initiatives.

“We are in the midst of a pandemic and as a socially responsible corporate, this initiative is a humble attempt by the bank to encourage use of masks for public safety,” said Iftikhar Ahmed, Circle Head, Kashmir & Ladakh, HDFC Bank.

“Face masks will help in ensuring safety of not just walk-in customers but also bank staff and other customers walking into the branch, thus making it safer for one and all. We are confident that by following simple steps like wearing face masks, sanitizing hands and practicing social distancing, together, we will be able to tackle the challenge.”
