Pulwama: A health professional who was a front line Covid-19 warrior has been left in a state of after he tested positive for Coronavirus. From past 8 days, this doctor who is in quarantine along with his family members and relatives has been requesting authorities to collect the samples of his family for Covid-19, but his pleas are falling on deaf ears.
This doctor has been quarantined at one place along with his brother and father. His wife and two little children and mother have been quarantined in a private school in Pulwama while his relatives have been lodged at third place and yet one more brother of this doctor is in quarantine in Jammu.
“This is so painful for the whole family. I tested positive and my family is suffering. It’s good to follow government guidelines but it hurts when the same government violates those guidelines and leave people on the mercy of God. I along with my family members are in quarantine from past week and don’t know when samples will be taken,” the doctor who hails from South Kashmir’s Pulwama district, said.
“They are doing this to me who himself is a health professional and God knows what is the fate of common people. I keep on reminding them and they resort to dilly dally tactics,” he added.
Among those who have been quarantined are two little kids. “My family and relatives have been quarantined at places, which are shabby in nature. They all share common washroom. It’s like to be in Hell than in quarantine, where you are left on the mercy of God and nobody comes for your aid,” he said.
Pertinently, Covid-19 suspects after lodged in quarantine centres are not being tested for several days together. People allege delay in collection of samples. (KNT)
