NSS KU holds awareness camp

Srinagar: As part of its sustained efforts aimed at raising awareness regarding the spread of COVID-19 and other significant social issues the office of the Program Coordinator, National Service Scheme (NSS), University of Kashmir organized an awareness camp among the underprivileged localities in the vicinity of Varsity’s main campus regarding COVID-19 pandemic and personal girl hygiene.
The camp was organized on the directions of Vice-Chancellor, KU Professor Talat Ahmad to sensitize the underprivileged communities in the vicinity of the Varsity’s campuses on COVID-19 and other vital social/ health issues.
During the camp hundreds of free sanitary pads, masks and sanitizers were distributed among the underprivileged families while completely adhering to the social distancing norms.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Musavir Ahmed, the Program Coordinator emphasized the need to create awareness about personal hygiene among the less fortunate sections of the society.
The coordinator lauded the efforts of Program Officers Dr. Henna Basharat, Dr. Waqar Amin and Dr. Yasir Hamid who coordinated the camp.
