Promising footballer dies of electric shock in Sopore

Sopore: A 21 year old youth who was a promising footballer died after he was electrocuted in Sopore on Wednesday morning.
Reports said that the deceased, Sajad Ahmad Kanwal son of Nazir Ahmad of Sher colony Sopore was working on a roof top of a building at Tehsil road Sopore, when he came in contact with a live wire.
The electric shock left him unconscious and he was rushed to a SDH Sopore where doctors referred him to district hospital Baramulla but he succumbs on way, reports added.
Meanwhile, police has registered a case in this regard.
Notably, the deceased was a thorough gentleman, soft spoken, promising and a talented football Player of the town.
“His sudden death has created a void which is difficult to fill,” said Ghulam Hassan Dar, Manager of ‘Moosa football club Sopore’ with which the deceased was associated.
