Two militant associates held at Awantipora: Police
Srinagar: Police claimed to have arrested two militant associates of proscribed outfit Ansar Gazwat Ul Hind and Hizb-Ul -Mujahdeen from Tral and Awantipora.
Police sources said that the duo are involved in providing shelter, support, logistics and passing sensitive information to the militants of proscribed outfit AuGH and HM.
The arrested Militant associates have been identified as Sayar Ahmad Shah from Tral and Tanseem @ Tanveer Ahmad Sheikh from Awantipora. Incriminating material has been recovered from both the arrested persons, the source added.
He said that a case FIR number 46/2020 and 68/2020 has been registered against the arrested persons in Police Station Tral and Police Station Awantipora respectively under relevant sections of the law.
