Developmental activities resume in Pulwama: Officials

PULWAMA: The District Development Commissioner Pulwama, Dr. Raghav Langer Saturday toured various areas of Tral including Midoora, Gulshanpora, Aripal, Nawdal to inspect the resumption of developmental activities by Rural Development Department (RDD).
During visit, the DC took stock of various developmental activities of MGNREGA including construction of roads, desiliting of Khuls and other developmental works under convergence executed by various departments.
He directed the ACD to ensure completion of all works within the stipulated time in the district.
On the occasion the DC also interacted with the workers who hailed the District Administration particularly for allowing MGNREGA works during the lockdown.
He said that works on languishing projects will also be taken up soon, so that the local labours earn their livelihood.
The DC emphasized upon workers to ensure social distancing and using of face masks during the work and directed the concerned officers to ensure the implementation of various SOPs issued by the Government in letter and spirit.
Meanwhile DDC also inspected the water supply scheme at Tral. On the occasion Ex. Engineer PHE informed that the scheme will be functional within a week.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Tral, ACD, Ex. Engineer PHE, BDO Tral and other concerned accompanied the DC during the visit.
