71 year old elderly person dies of Covid-19
Srinagar, May 16: An elderly patient tested positive for Covid-19 after his death at Sher-e-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS) Soura Srinagar today.
“The man died in the hospital at around 8 in the morning. He was feeling uneasiness and breathlessness. After his death, we collected his samples, and he tested positive. The patient has no travel history and is 71 years old,” Medical Superintendent Dr Farooq Jan said.
He said that the deceased hails from Chadoora village of Central Kashmir’s Budgam district.
He said the patient had never arrived in the hospital before his death and he was never tested for Covid-19 infection.
With this death, the number of persons died due to Covid-19 infection has reached 12, among which 11 are from Kashmir and one from Udhampur. (KNT)
