JK Bank lean marks Hawal man’s account as donations pile up
Srinagar: Authorities have ordered to lean mark the Hawal man’s JK bank account opened at Vilgam Branch of the bank after huge amounts of donations poured into the account.
Reports said that an amount of Rupees 27 lakh, 30 thousand were deposited into the account after the man identified as Shabir Ahmad Shah posted a message on social media seeking help to get food and other essentials owing to his loss of job due to the Covid-19 clampdown.
The authorities were forced to order the lean marking of the account after his neighbours complained about the man of being a habitual alms seeker.
Notably, many NGO’s and locals alleged that they had been providing help to the man as and when he had asked for it.
