Economic package will boost growth: FM
New Delhi: Unveiling the finer points of the economic package announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Wednesday said the prime minister laid out a comprehensive vision after wide consultation with several sections of the society.
Discussions were also held with various ministries. Asserting that the economic package is essentially to boost growth and to build a very self reliant India, Sitharaman said that is why this whole initiative is called Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan.
Elaborating on the prime minister’s idea of a self-reliant India, Sitharaman said the five pillars of ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat are economy, infrastructure, system, demography and demand.
