Police arrests two drug peddlers
Srinagar: Police in its recent action against drug dealings in Kulgam arrested two drug peddlers and recovered contraband substance from their possession.
Officers at a checkpoint established at Main Market Nehama, intercepted an auto load carrier bearing registration number JK18 – 6793 and arrested two drug peddlers identified as Shabir Ahmad Malla resident of Mohammadpora and Mohammad Ayoub Dar resident of Nillow Kulgam. Officers during checking were able to recover 36 Kgs of poppy straw from their possession.
A case FIR No. 65/2020 under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station D.H Pora and investigation into the matter has been initiated. They have been arrested and shifted to Police Station D.H Pora where they remain in custody. Officers have also seized the Auto used in commission of crime.
