Four employees of PDA suspended for helping ‘illegal encroachments’

Anantnag: The authorities have placed four employees of Pahalgam Development Authority (PDA) under suspension based on ‘preliminary inquiry’ reports regarding involvement in helping the illegal encroachers to grab 50 kanals of land at Aru Pahalgam.
According to the order issued by Chief Executive Officer Pahalgam development Authority, during the site inspection of CEO PDA along with AEE, JE’s on Monday, it has been observed that some encroachers have illegally encroached upon 50 kanals of land at Aru and as per inquiry four officials have assisted the violators for carrying the illegal fencing on state/forest land.
“In view of pending enquiry into their involvement four officials are hereby suspended with immediate effect and salary of junior engineer concerned for the month of May 2020 is put on hold,” an order issued by the CEO reads.
The officials who have been suspended include works supervisor Mohammad Ismail Wani, road supervisor Bashir Ahmad Wagay and two SLWs Ghulam Hassan Dar and Mushtaq Ahmad Khan.
