Brother of slain militant arrested with ammo
Baramulla: Brother of a slain militant was on Monday arrested while police said arms and ammunition was also recovered from his possession in Sheeri area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
Sources said that after receiving credible inputs, police along Army laid a joint Naka in Sheeri Baramulla and apprehended one militant associate with 100 rounds of AK-47 and one grenade.
Police sources identified the arrested person as Omar of New Colony Sopore, adding that he is brother of a slain militant (Kaleemullah) Marouf Khan who was killed in an encounter along with Naveed Jatt in 2018.
Police has registered a case in this regard and said that further investigation has been taken up. (KNO)
