Leopard kills five sheep, injures many in Pattan village

Sopore, May 03: At least five sheep were killed and as many injured after a leopard attacked some sheds in north Kashmir’s Pattan village on Sunday.
Reports said that panic has gripped Checki pusnag area of Pattan on Sunday after a leopard killed five sheep and injured several others in the village.
Residents of the area told that a leopard was wandering in the village since last few days and everyone in the area is scared to go out.
They said that on Sunday wee hours a leopard entered into the village and killed five sheep and injured many which created more fear among the residents.
The villagers appealed the authorities to send a team from the wildlife department and trap the leopard before it causes further damage.
