Employee killed, five others injured in road mishap
Sopore: One person was killed and five others were injured in a road accident at Yambren Hardushiva area of Sopore in North Kashmir’s Baramullah district on Friday morning.
Reports said that a Jal Shakti Department employee was killed and five others sustained injuries after a tractor they were traveling in skidded off the road and turned turtle at Yambren Hardushiva area of Sopore.
All the injured were rushed to SDH Sopore where doctor referred one of them to SMHS Srinagar for advance treatment.
Reports said that the incident happened when they were supposed to bury a dead cow at a far flung area of a forest and were returning back.
The deceased Jal Shakti employee has been identified as Ayazuddin Baba son of Ghulam Qadir Baba of Hardshiva Sopore.
Meanwhile, police has registered a case in this regard.
