General Secretary DAK and over all incharge of the mobile application, Dr Owais H Dar in a statement issued here said that since last  month more than 21,500 people have visited the application and have benefitted by taking free online medical consultations from  doctors.

“About 215 Doctors arranged speciality wise are available in the panel of empanelled doctors who are providing free online consultations to the needy people either through whatsup or telephonically,” the statement said.

Dr Dar further said that, “from today new features are being added to the APP whereby general public can inform the authorities about people residing in their areas who have recent travel history or who have contact with any COVID-19 positive patient.

“This feature will help in tracking them efficiently and will supplement the Government efforts. Another feature which has been added to the Mobile APP is ‘Self Assessment Test’ whereby any individual has to answer guided questions and in the end, automated instructions are given in the form of questionnaire for necessary management. In addition to that another feature has also been added to the application i.e., ‘Red Zone Feature’ whereby the application buzzes and alarms a person if he enters any Red Zone area,” the statement added.

Pertinently, the Mobile App “DAK-HELPDESK”  was launched in view of huge campaign going for “stay at home to stay safe” and to  “break the chain” of transmission of Covid-19.

President DAK, Dr Suhail Naik once again appreciated and paid gratitude to all the doctors who are rendering their free online services amid their busy duty schedules.
