Pulwama reports two corona positive cases
Pulwama: After a gap of around 25 days, two persons from Pulwama tested positive for covid-19 on Tuesday taking the toll of total positive cases in Pulwama to five, including three recoveries.
The first three patients who tested positive and belonged to the district were discharged after their recovery.
Pertinently, Pulwama was the only district in Kashmir division where not even a single active positive patient was reported since the past 25 days.
Officials said that one person who tested positive on Tuesday is an 18 year youth from Rohmoo Pulwama, a truck driver by profession and has travel history to New Delhi.
They said that being a truck driver and carrying essential items, he reached Lassipora Pulwama on 14th of April, where he spend few days and reached his home on 19th of April after which he was kept in quarantine in Pulwama.
He was asymptomatic, but in quarantine, he started developing symptoms and later tested positive, they said
Another one is from Kakapora area of the district who has no travel history, said officials, adding that the person is running a medical shop outside PHC Kakapora and was tested randomly.
