28 persons discharged after completing two-week quarantine period

Baramulla: Authorities in Baramulla discharged another 28 persons who were shifted into Administrative Quarantine at JNV Shahkote Uri following their contact/travel history with the positive cases. These persons, hailing from Uri were discharged after successfully completing their 14-day quarantine period.
In a release, Sub-Divisional Magistrate Uri Reyaz Ahmad Malik said that those who had completed the mandatory 14-day quarantine are being released after tests are undertaken to confirm they are not infected with COVID-19. He further added that these persons were under thorough medical supervision throughout their quarantine period and were discharged today only after testing negative.
SDM Uri said that administration has provided them adequate facilities here and they are released today with the advice to observe home quarantine. Centre duty Magistrate Mushtaq Ahmad Bloot who oversaw their discharge and their transportation, Medical Officer Boniyar were also present among other concerned functionaries.
On the occasion, the discharged persons expressed satisfaction over the facilities being provided to them during the quarantine period. They were asked by the concerned experts to act as ambassadors in their respective areas and familiarize the people about the necessary precautions that needs to be taken to avoid any kind of eventuality.
