Four youth go missing in Kulgam

Anantnag: Four youth from South Kashmir’s Kulgam district have been reportedly missing from last one month and it is likely that missing youth have joined militant ranks, police sources said.
They said that the missing youth have been identified as Bilal Ahmad Bhat, Shahid Ahmad Bhat, Mushtaq Ahmad Itoo and Nadeem Ahmad Rather.
Official sources said that Bilal Ahmad Bhat son of Ghulam Mohammad Bhat resident of Hardu Hanger Yaripora Kulgam is missing since the past one month.
They said that his family has lodged his missing report at Police station Yaripora and efforts are on to trace him.
Mushtaq Ahmad Itoo son of Ghulam Hassan Itoo resident of Mohandpora Kulgam according to official sources is missing since 16th of March.
They said that before he went missing, he was working as an ATM Guard in J&K Bank at Areh Kulgam.
Shahid Ahmad Bhat son of Mohammed Afzal Bhat resident of Bugam area of Kulgam district as per official sources is missing since 26th March 2020.
Shahid according to locals after completing his Bachelors degree was working as a painter before he went missing.
Sources said that Nadeem Ahmad Rather son of Abdul Rahman Rather resident of Ashmuji Kulgam according to official sources is missing since 27th of March.
They said Nadeem was pursuing Bachelors in Veterinary Sciences at Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agriculture sciences and Technology, Shuhama before he went missing.
A senior official while confirming that these four youths are missing said that it is likely that they have joined militant ranks.
He further added that one more youth identified as Waqar Ahmad from Chawalgan went missing in Kulgam last month however, he was killed just days after he went missing.
