Ten shops sealed in Bandipora for violating lockdown orders

Bandipora: Authorities on Wednesday evening sealed ten shops in Bandipora for violating the government orders on lockdown in the district as restrictions under section 144 as a precautionary measure against spread of coronavirus continue to remain in place.
An official said that ten shops were sealed by the first class magistrate Bandipora for violating the government orders in Bandipora.
“The action was initiated after the authorities had imposed restrictions under section 144 as a precautionary measure against the spread of coronavirus,” he said. Tehsildar Bandipora, Rauf Iqbal said that they have sealed ten shops as they had defied restrictions imposed in the district under section 144.
Meanwhile, the administration has been constantly making announcements, appealing people not to come out of their homes unnecessarily and adhere to the health guidelines.
