COVID-19 Pandemic: Family from Kangan kept in home quarantine
Kangan: Authorities on Wednesday kept a family from Kangan in home quarantine after reports were received that three persons from Bandipora had visited them.
A health Official said that our surveillance team informed that three persons from Bandipora ‘Red Zone’ area visited their relatives in Sedra Cherwan area of Kangan Tehsil in Ganderbal district.
“We immediately visited them and kept the family in home quarantine,” the health Official said.
He said that various areas of Bandipora district have been already declared Red Zones by administration and we should not take any risk.
SDM Kangan, Tanveer Hakim said that three persons from Red Zone areas of Bandipora visited the family.
“After being informed about this, the Kangan police and a medical team were dispatched there and all three were sent back to Bandipora,” SDM said.
He said that the till the reports of samples of the nine family members will arrive, they have been kept in home quarantine for 14 days.
Meanwhile, authorities have already banned in and outward movement of any person from Red Zone.
