Police claims arrest of militant in RS Pura
Srinagar, Apr 11: A militant has been arrested by police in RS Pura area of Jammu on Saturday.
Reports said that police arrested a suspect in RS Pura today.
A police officer said that following inputs, the police team apprehended the militant who has been identified as Muzaffar Beigh.
“Some cash and 5 sim cards were recovered from his possession. Being was in touch with handlers in Pakistan,” the officer said.
He identified the arrested militant as Muzaffar Beigh son of Asadullah Beigh, a resident of Vodhpora Handwara.
In this connection, a case under FIR number 63/2020 US 13,17,39 UAPA and 121-A IPC was registered at PS RS Pura and investigation taken up, he said.
During questioning important disclosures relating to links with other militants have been established, police said, adding that some more arrests are expected in the case. (GNS)
